I'm so tired...
It’s been a hell of a few months. A great few months, but bloody hell. I went to Scotland and did four events in four days. I came back to Japan for two nights and then flew to New Zealand where I drank my weight in wine and geeked out on Hobbit stuff. As well as working full time at the uni, I’ve been editing a 150,000 word book on Japanese literature for a UK publisher, preparing the new issue of the academic journal I’m editor for, doing an interview for the Japan Times (out next month), hosting the Japan Writers’ Conference and doing the final launch of The Japan Lights in Yokohama. I’ve also played two gigs with the band, have three more to come in the next few weeks and then we’re going into the studio to record a new single. I was supposed to be working this weekend doing interviews for prospective students wanting to enrol next year but they don’t need all hands on deck and I got the all clear. I have nothing to do between Friday night (after band practice) and Tuesday morning (work) but sleep, read, sleep, potter in the garden, sleep, and sleep. As such, I have nothing for you this morning. The tank is empty. Sorry.
I’ll be back next week with the regular programming but until then and in advance of a new Beatles song next week…
