A Little Information

Her white coat was a bit tight around the shoulders, but the subject didn’t notice. He signed the release form and handed it back.
“This is that Milgram experiment, isn’t it?” he said. “I read about that. You tell me to electrocute the person in the next room but really it’s an actor. The dials aren’t connected to anything. His screams are fake. You’re testing if I’ll do what a figure of authority tells me to.”
Wires trailing through a crudely drilled hole in the wall. Handcuff key in her shirt pocket. She’d read about the experiment too.
“Yes,” she said. “That’s what it is. Shall we begin?”
